Overall Efficiency of Four-Stage Structure with Undesirable Outputs: A New SBM Network DEA Model

چکیده

Benchmarking is the major reason for widespread use of DEA models efficiency analysis. Determining closest targets DMUs, play a key role in benchmarking their best performance. In fact, these help develop certain performance enhancement plans that need fewer attempts made by DMUs. Therefore, this study proposes novel method based on network to determine most appropriate target every stage addition The proposed model differs from those other studies fact all consider input and output values be linear. However, real-world problems, many DMU inputs outputs have nonlinear (values are coefficients or modeling can price desirable cost undesirable outputs), something which was taken into account process study. employed benchmark cement factories listed Tehran Stock Exchange.

Efficiency Measurement in Two-Stage Network Structures Considering Undesirable Outputs

Since data envelopment analysis (DEA) introduced in 1970s, it has been widely applied to measure the efficiency of a wide variety of production and operation systems. Recently DEA has been extended to examine the efficiency of decision making units (DMUs) with two-stage network structures or processes, where the outputs from the first stage are intermediate measures that make up the inputs of t...

Efficiency evaluating and improvement by using the network SBM-DEA model with undesirable output: A case study of Iranian airlines

Measuring and improving the efficiency of organizations, as one of the most important parts of the organization's performance evaluation and a tool to control it, is a contemplative issue in order to survive and advance in the area of competition. Transportation is also a key element in the growth and development of countries that creates an unbreakable link among the various sections of the ec...

Two-stage DEA models with undesirable input-intermediate-outputs

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a non-parametric approach for measuring the relative efficiencies of peer decision making units (DMUs). Many studies have examined DEA efficiencies of two-stage systems, where all the outputs from the first stage are the only inputs to the second stage. Although single-stage DEA models with undesirable input-outputs have been extensively studied, there still l...

Two-Stage Network DEA with Undesirable Outputs: An Application in the Air Transportation in the Spain

In this paper, two non-linear technologies are proposed based on weak disposability definitions: weak disposability with non-uniform abatement factors and new weak disposability. Both technologies are applied to Spanish airport systems and the existing technologies are modified. To remove the computational complexity of non-linear approaches, the linearization methods are proposed. Then, in ord...
